Christian H. Barnes, MD
Dr. Barnes is a double board-certified surgeon in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He brings expertise in the latest methods of non-surgical cosmetic procedures, cosmetic surgery, nasal surgery and reconstruction of the head and neck.
Dr. Barnes graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Mississippi’s Honors College prior to accepting a full academic scholarship to the University of Mississippi School of Medicine where he completed his medical degree with distinction as a research scholar. After medical school, he moved to Southern California to complete his residency training at the University of California at Irvine and developed an interest in facial plastic surgery. At the conclusion of his five-year residency he moved to San Francisco where he completed further training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery as an accredited fellow specializing in facial aging and nasal surgery.
Dr. Barnes and his team are particularly interested in helping patients navigate the many surgical and non-surgical options to obtain the best individualized treatment solution. He lives in Athens with his wife, Kathleen, and enjoys traveling, photography and any hobby that involves spending time outside in nature.
